HELLO, it’s that time of year again folks.
I am sure there are many of you who are finding that the Christmas countdown is well underway and somewhat daunting. Early celebration and preparation is for the few but as always it’s our pleasure to resume our rituals towards reopening. We have been busy again this year replanting and organising land management. It is always our intention to keep our much loved local and family farm progressing. This year has truly been mixed with respect to the weather but as always the change in seasons start to turn our thoughts to opening up and sharing our shop and trees for the festive period.
This year we look forward as usual to sharing excitement with our customers old and new. We appreciate all the positivity created by our family run farm, at Salem Christmas Tree Farm and feel honoured to be part of many of your traditional preparations and grateful for the loyalty and enthusiasm given. This small business has continued to trade through difficult times and we feel proud of the service we offer in today’s challenging climate. The routine of managing trees continues all year round and our landscape here reflects our changes. Once our new stock arrives, including new exciting shiny decorations and lights we set to, arranging our little shop and transforming it into a treasure trove of decoration to inspire and delight. We are small and continue to trade with a quest for meaningful Christmas, a time for sharing with loved ones and thinking of others. The traditions for us are integral to Christmas, from selection of trees, providing for local business and customers alike. Countdown has truly begun and is charted within our website. The festive season means so many things to everyone and we would like to think we join you in celebrating together. However you start your festivities we wish your all, “a period of peace, joy and happiness. May all these be yours at Christmas and into the New Year too.
We have a selection of trees for you to choose from, ranging from 3ft potted trees to 25ft tall in our fields. You can either cut your own, or make a selection from our pre-cut trees upon our rails and or select a potted tree. We also have the ability for you to order online via our website.
We are opening on Saturday 11th November 2023 from 10.00am to Dusk every day until 23rd December and will enjoy Seasonal Songs, Carole’s Mince Pies, Sausage Rolls, Mulled Wine, Hot Chocolate and light refreshments as always.
Christmas trends this year include natural themes, including branches, natural foliage, owls, deer and woodland creatures, mushrooms, earthy browns and orange. Another stylish trend continuing is blue and gold along with lux décor, nutcrackers and the revival of Burgundy and vintage designs. Our shop is full of lots of beautiful decorations, ranging from traditional, to very stylised and individual. It is our intention to bring a range that you can coordinate and update your own should you wish. We have stunning glass decorations and baubles in many styles which will also match any scheme. The shop also stocks stands, lights and many other traditional products that help make your season complete.
Refreshments are as always available from the shop, we offer usual credit card facilities. Hoping our letter finds you and yours well and we look forward to seeing you, your friends and family continuing or starting new traditions.
